Heaven Is For Real Heaven is for Real: A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back
By: Group Publishing
A young boy emerges from life-saving surgery with remarkable stories of his visit to heaven. Heaven Is for Real is the true story of the four-year old son of a small town Nebraska pastor who during emergency surgery slips from consciousness and enters heaven. He survives and begins talking about being able to look down and see the doctor operating and his dad praying in the waiting room. The family didn't know what to believe but soon the evidence was clear. Colton said he met his miscarried sister, whom no one had told him about, and his great grandfather who died 30 years before Colton was born, then shared impossible-to-know details about each. He describes the horse that only Jesus could ride, about how "reaaally big" God and his chair are, and how the Holy Spirit "shoots down power" from heaven to help us. Told by the father, but often in Colton's own words, the disarmingly simple message is heaven is a real place, Jesus really loves children, and be ready, there is a coming last battle.

Loving Your Kids On Purpose Loving Our Kids On Purpose By: Danny Silk
Here is a fresh look at the age-old role of parenting. Loving Our Kids on Purpose brings the principles of the Kingdom of God and revival into our strategy as parents. 2 Corinthians 3:17 tells us that Where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. Most parenting approaches train children to learn to accept being controlled by well meaning parents and adults. Unfortunately, God is not going to control us as we gain independence from our parents. We must learn to control ourselves. This book will teach parents to train their children to manage their freedoms and protect their important heart to heart relationships.

Resources to Help Parents with Their own Christian Walk...
So They Can Be Better Parents

1828 American Dictionary American Dictionary of the English Language (1828 Facsimile Edition)
by Noah Webster
Every home should be equipped with this wonderful dictionary! It is reported that Noah Webster's 1828 American Dictionary contains the greatest number of Biblical definitions given in any reference volume. Webster considered "education useless without the Bible". Noah Webster believed that the Bible and Christianity played important roles in the lives of a free people and its government. "In my view, the Christian religion is the most important and one of the first things in which all children, under a free government, ought to be instructed.... No truth is more evident to my mind than that the Christian religion must be the basis of any government intended to secure the rights and privileges of a free people...."
Bible Doctrine Bible Doctrine by Wayne Grudem
How do we know the Bible is God's Word? What is sin and where did it come from? How is Jesus fully God and fully man? What are spiritual gifts? When and how will Christ return? If you've asked questions like these, then 'systematic theology' is no abstract term. It's an approach to finding answers every Christian needs to know. Bible Doctrine takes a highly commended upper-level textbook on systematic theology and makes it accessible to the average reader. This is an excellent reference book to help you tackle many topical studies. The best book I have personally read about Bible doctrine. Highly recommend it.

Boundaries In Marriage Boundaries In Marriage by Henry Cloud and John Townsend
Learn when to say yes and when to say no--to your spouse and to others--to make the most of your marriage Only when a husband and wife know and respect each other's needs, choices, and freedom can they give themselves freely and lovingly to one another. Boundaries are the "property lines" that define and protect husbands and wives as individuals. Once they are in place, a good marriage can become better, and a less-than-satisfying one can even be saved.
Broken Bread Broken Bread by John Wright Follette
A deeply spiritual man, John Wright Follette had a passion for God. He often expressed this passion through his preaching and poetry. Broken Bread captures some of that passion in its collection of twenty of his sermons and some of his poems. Full of sound scriptural exegesis and practical insight, Follette instructs and entertains, engaging both the reader's heart and mind. His passion for God is infectious, and will quickly spread to any reader of Broken Bread.
Culture Of Honor Culture of Honor: Sustaining a Supernatural Environment by Danny Silk
The Culture of Honor is a book of reformation. It is intended to disrupt our current model of authority. Jesus put it like this in Matthew 20:25-26 But Jesus called them to Himself and said, You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those who are great exercise authority over them. Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you, let him be your servant. Those with power must learn to empower those around them or we will never build Heaven on the Earth.
Evidence That Demands A Verdict Evidence That Demands A Verdict Fully Updated To Answer The Questions Challenging Christians by Josh Josh McDowell
Bestselling author and Christian apologist Josh McDowell hopes The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict will further document historical evidence of the Christian faith. As such, it is a straightforward compilation of notes prepared for his lecture series, "Christianity: Hoax or History?" The entire book (over 750 pages) is laid out in outline form, which makes it easier for researchers, scholars, and students to access. As a result, this is not reflective fireside reading. Rather, it is a tool for locating supporting "evidence" whenever the need arises. Part I addresses the trustworthiness of the Bible; Part II offers historical evidence and supporting attestations for Jesus' claim to God; Part III addresses "radical Christian criticism" of the Bible; Part IV is devoted to quelling the voice of numerous skeptics, including "a defense for the existence of miracles" and "answers to divergent worldview."
Evidence That Demands A Verdict 1972 Evidence That Demands A Verdict (1972 Version) by Josh Josh McDowell
This is the 1972 version. If you can find this copy, I highly recommend it! I find it's laid out better and is easier to read through for refernce. Among important books in the defense of Christianity, this one has few equals. Evidence That Demands a Verdict is an easy-to-read, front-line defense for Christians facing the tough questions of critics and skeptics. Using secular evidences and other historical sources, Josh McDowell's faith-building book is a "must read" for every Christian. Best book on appologetics I have ever read. I still use this book for refrence all the time!
Grace Rules Grace Rules: Living in the Kingdom of God Where... by Steve McVey
Are you "living by the rules," or are you letting God's grace rule you? There's a big difference between the two. If you're living for God—living by the rules—you'll always be exhausted. You'll feel that you're not doing enough for God and that if you don't "measure up," He will be displeased with you. But God never meant for the Christian life to be that way! His Love for us isn't based on how we perform for Him. He sent Christ to set us free from rules. He didn't call us to serve Him in our own feeble power, but to let His power flow through us—a power that is without limit! What's more, this power is already available to us right now. God has provided everything we need for a truly meaningful, joy-filled life here on earth…all because of His marvelous grace. Rest in God's grace, and let Him live through you. Find out how in Grace Rules.
Grace Walk Grace Walk: What You've Always Wanted in the Christian Life by Steve McVey
Grace Walk has helped thousands of believers leave behind the "manic–depressive" Christian walk: either running around trying to perform to be acceptable to God—or thinking they've failed Him again and wondering if they'll ever measure up. Living the grace walk gets Christians off this religious roller coaster. Using his own journey from legalism into grace, Steve McVey illustrates the foundational, biblical truths of who believers are in Jesus Christ and how they can let Him live His life through them each day. As they experience their identity in Jesus Christ, Christians will come to know "Amazing Grace" as not just a song but as their true way of life.

Sit Walk Stand Sit, Walk, Stand by Watchman Nee
Sit, Walk, Stand is an inspiring look at Ephesians, opening our eyes to the central issues of our faith. Walk—Our life in the world. Stand—Our attitude toward the Enemy.
Surrender Surrender by Arthur Burt
Surrender is the best-kept secret in the kingdom! Is there a key to spiritual success? What is the real secret? So many people find themselves in an inward prison, bound by chains of sin and failure, with no key to set them free. They pile up worldly solutions--drugs, pleasures, psychiatry--but none will ever meet their deepest needs. What will set you free from your failure? What will release you from your sin? Arthur Burt believes surrender is the key to spiritual success. In this book he explains how even apparent failure can be a stepping stone to experiencing the glory of God in your life, once you surrender to His perfect plan.

How can we see distant stars in a young universe? How did bad things come about? Who was Cain's wife? How did animals get to Australia? How did all the "races" arise? What happened to the dinosaurs? Ideal for personal Bible studies or discussion groups, this is a practical manual on how to forgive others and yourself.
Waking The Dead Waking the Dead: The Glory of a Heart Fully Alive by John Elderge by John Elderge
Waking the Dead leads readers to understand how to live from the heart, care for their hearts like the treasures of the kingdom, and give from fullness instead of emptiness. This message also shows how living from the heart can energize people to love God and others in a way they've never experienced, revealing to them life's purpose: fighting for the hearts of others.
When Heaven Invades Earth When Heaven Invades Earth by Bill Johnson
When Heaven Invades Earth is a powerful statement and testimony on the Kingdom of God. Theologically sound, well supported, and extremely well argued, this message provides a carefully constructed biblical foundation for the average Christian to live and walk in the miraculous, supernatural power of God. Not only is the supernatural possible, it is also our commission. The Great Commission that Christ gave to the Church challenges us and makes us responsible to rise up to this supreme supernatural calling. Johnson shows you how you are called to dominion in the earth through the divine rule of God.
Wild At Heart Wild at Heart: Discovering The Secret of a Man's Soul by John Elderge
God designed men to be dangerous, says John Eldredge. Simply look at the dreams and desires written in the heart of every boy: To be a hero, to be a warrior, to live a life of adventure and risk. Sadly, most men abandon those dreams and desires-aided by a Christianity that feels like nothing more than pressure to be a "nice guy." It is no wonder that many men avoid church, and those who go are often passive and bored to death. In this provocative book, Eldredge gives women a look inside the true heart of a man and gives men permission to be what God designed them to be-dangerous, passionate, alive, and free!

Resources to Help Protect Your Family

For our bodies to remain healthy we must eat healthy foods. We must pay attention to what goes into our bodies. What we feed our spirit is just as important. It's a good idea to monitor what comes through your eye gate, ear gate and the gate to your spirit. What we see, hear and allow to enter into our spirits does effect us.

This scripture comes to mind when thinking about what to feed your spirit with: Philippians 4:8-9 (MSG) "Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious—the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse."

Also this simple song comes to mind as well: "Be careful little eyes what you see. Be careful little ears what you hear. Because the Father up above is looking down in love… Be careful little hands what you do. Be careful little feet where you go. Because the Father up above is looking down in love" There is a lot of simple truth to this song!

These are some good resources to help you and your family with this:

A Message From TonyBack to River Life Fellowship

This is our prayer for the children...

Psalm 1:3 (Amplified Bible)
"And he shall be like a tree firmly planted [and tended] by the streams of water, ready to bring forth its fruit in its season; its leaf also shall not fade or wither; and everything he does shall prosper [and come to maturity]."

Jeremiah 17:8 (Amplified Bible)
"For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters that spreads out its roots by the river; and it shall not see and fear when heat comes; but its leaf shall be green. It shall not be anxious and full of care in the year of drought, nor shall it cease yielding fruit."
